French Open Grounds Pass Guide: Outside Courts Explained
A French Open grounds pass (the outside courts ticket, courts annexes in French) gets you onto the Roland-Garros site for one day, with unreserved seating on the outside courts but no seat on Philippe-Chatrier or Suzanne-Lenglen. At 2026 face value it cost €39 from May 24, and the Opening Week day ticket, which also opened Suzanne-Lenglen, cost €29. It is one of the cheapest ways into the tournament, and it is sold one day at a time: there is no official multi-day or week pass.

When a grounds pass is worth it

Second week
Less to seeSingles move to the show courts. The outside courts host fewer matches, mainly doubles, juniors, wheelchair and legends events; in 2026 final-week outside-court tickets started at €15.

No multi-day pass: how to plan several days
Roland-Garros sells tickets per day, and night sessions on Philippe-Chatrier per session. There is no official week pass or whole-tournament pass, so for several days you buy a ticket for each one. A common plan is two or three first-week grounds-pass days to follow players around the outside courts, plus one show-court ticket later in the tournament.

How to buy a grounds pass
Official grounds passes are sold at face value on tickets.rolandgarros.com. In 2026, outside-court tickets for May 24 to 31 were sold in the licence-holder presale and the registration draw (up to 4 per buyer), while Opening Week and the final-week outside courts (June 1 to 7) went on open sale on March 31, 2026 (up to 15 per buyer). Tips for a grounds-pass day
- Arrive before play starts (11:00 on the outside courts in 2026; gates opened at 10:00) to get a seat on Court 14.
- Check the order of play the evening before and pick two or three matches to aim for.
- Seating is first come, first served, so move between courts at changeovers and between matches.

Can I leave Roland-Garros and come back the same day?
Plan to stay inside once you enter. Roland-Garros has not published a re-entry rule for general tickets, but the 2026 Mastercard package terms say there is no re-entry and all exits are final.
