Roland-Garros Bag Policy: What You Can (and Can't) Bring
Roland-Garros admits bags up to 15 litres — anything larger must go into the free left-luggage lockers outside the security checkpoints. You can bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks (no glass, no rigid containers over 1.5 litres), and free water refill stations are available inside. Once you exit the grounds, there is no re-entry — all exits are final.
Allowed
- • Bags up to 15 litres
- • Personal food and picnic items
- • Non-alcoholic drinks in soft/compressible containers up to 1.5 L
- • Empty reusable bottles (refill stations on site)
- • Sunscreen, hats, compact cameras
- • Small flags (under 100 × 100 cm, no poles)
Prohibited
- • Glass bottles and any glass containers
- • Alcohol of any kind
- • Rigid containers over 1.5 L, metal aerosols, thermos flasks, ice packs
- • Selfie sticks, drones, laser pointers
- • Professional detachable zoom lenses (without FFT approval)
- • Strollers and pushchairs, bikes, scooters, skateboards
- • Knives, fireworks, horns, musical instruments, flagpoles
Free lockers
Free left-luggage locker areas sit just outside the security perimeter (four areas during the main draw). Oversized bags must be deposited there — plan a few extra minutes at busy times.
Security checks
Three mandatory checkpoints (Auteuil, Molitor, Boulogne) with bag checks and body searches. Gates open at 10:00; play starts at 11:00. Arrive early on weekends.
